Seriously I'm so freaking pissed. What weak and terrible writing for season 5

I like how well it's filmed and what not but the story line is fricking atrocious.

Can the Thomas Yates guy please get killed off?

I have never seen a great show take such a downturn as this show. I don't know if I can watch the next season.

Claire killed him already.

And yes, this season sucked really really, irredeemably badly. It has all sucked since season 2, but this last season was the nail in the coffin. There is no coming back from how stupid it is now.

So... I quit watching halfway through S3. I've thought about picking it back up, that's a bad idea, right?

Read the plot synopsis. Besides Spacey, what makes this show different than Scandal?

I kind of felt like the pushing of the Secretary of State down the stairs was a jump the shark moment in my mind. I couldn't believe they did it and I couldn't believe they never really talked about it or gave an update on her status.

I haven't watched this season yet, but this sounds like what happens when a show runs too long, and doesn't just get to the point.

As has been mentioned before, we could take a cue from the British some times in keeping shows in the 3 season range.

You keep going and you just open yourself up to filler, pointless story lines, or something goofy happening trying to upstage something that occurred previously.

How bad is this season, like not worth watching bad? I have already given up on Bloodline after 2 eps and probably could move on from this series as well if it just isnt up to par anymore.

Bloodline is a good comparison to just how bad season 5 iHouse of Cards became What made the show so much fun was the playful nature but it quickly turned to a dark dark drama. The BBC Original HOC is the goat.

I honestly didn't hate season 3-4. 5 is on another level of bad though. It's like they tried to make it bad

This is exactly how I felt. Glad to know I wasn't the only one. What's weird is I'm not the type to just give up on a show mid season and not look back. I've stuck through some pretty meh crap.

There was no point in doing it. If frank was going to confess and resign all along why did he do it? And if he just did it out of spite, you need to tell us that. Major plot hole. Stupid.
