Extant cancelled after 2 seasons?

Bummer! Just finished watching season 2 on Netflix. Really got into it and loved the way it ended, with a great setup for a 3rd season. Now I read that in October, CBS announced it was cancelled. No further seasons. Wah!

Thought the change of direction in season two was an improvement, but I still didn't love the show like I was hoping to.

Yeah season 2 was much better. Only a decent sci-fi show overall. I would have tuned into a third season

The way TAALR emerged at the end reminded me of the way Silence of the Lambs ended. I was ready for a 3rd season.
