So you've seen the movie, too? How was it? Anything this guy didn't go over that you would like to add?

and some more...

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck, who got to see an early cut of Suicide Squad, shared his thoughts on the movie in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which is jam-packed with details about the DC Extended Universe. Here’s what he had to say:

I’ve seen Suicide Squad, and I can tell you that movie really works. That movie is really, really cool and fun and awesome.

Tom Hardy said he really liked what they were doing with Suicide Squad, too. He didn't see it, but this was back when he had to back out. That movie is going to be the shite.

It's probably like the end of The Dark Knight Returns fight. Superman showed that he cares for Bruce.

It happens near the end where Supes is about to finish him off and is visited by a CG pa Kent. He comes to his senses and hands Batman an ice cold Dr. Pepper and they drive off in a Jeep Renegade.

I loved MoS so I'm ready. I still can't believe people are pining for the cornball campy Boy Scout superman that we've seen so many times already.

Then they catch a flight on Turkish Airlines. There they eat Doritos and General Mills cereal while PA Kent asks Superman why he's saving people and not staying in hiding. Superman then says "What are you talking about? Didn't you see how much destruction I caused? I'm not saving anybody."

Yes sir....EW has a ton of coverage right now, but be warned, too much info is being released IMO. I read a couple things that I wish I hadn't.

I'll still wait until it comes out on Redbox or something. I really like Batman, but couldn't care less about Superman.

J.K. Simmons Joins Justice League: Part One as Commissioner Gordon!
quote:

The Hollywood Reporter brings word that the cast for Justice League: Part One has just added another member to its cast with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon! It’s unclear what role the character will have in the film, but since Ben Affleck’s Batman has been operating for many years in Gotham, it’s to be expected that the two know each other.

Simmons is perhaps best known for another comic book role, The Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy, but also the hit HBO series OZ, Law & Order, and his Oscar-winning performance in Whiplash. He’s also provided the voice for a few other DC characters in the animated Justice League series as well as Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Commissioner Gordon has been played by a number of different actors over the years, including Neil Hamilton on the Adam West series, Pat Hingle in all four of the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher Batman films, Gary Oldman in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy, and currently by Ben McKenzie on FOX’s Gotham.

He joins a cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot as the DC Trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman with Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Amber Heard is set to play Queen Mera in the film as well before moving to the solo Aquaman movie in 2018. Justice League filming will begin in April and take place in London and Iceland. Justice League: Part One will debut in theaters on November 10, 2017.
