He'd star as an all grown up Rusty Griswold taking his own family on a vacation.

The two directors co-wrote Horrible Bosses.

This could work if done right. How old is A M Hall? He couldn't do it?

He's in his mid-40s and hasn't had a respectable role since like 1993. I doubt anyone would trust their potential franchise reboot with him.

I like it. As long as the supporting cast is not to over the top and they keep it current, could be a nice fun popcorn flick.

I, for one, hate it. I think it's an awful idea.

But, to each his own.

Doubt they'll have the budget for her. Her payday for Avengers 2 was reported yesterday to be $20 million.

I think Chevy should have some role in this even if small. The biggest part is if they go with someone promising for the roles of the children.

If Chevy is in it I hope it's only for a cameo or something because he blows on Community. And I love Community.

Would John C. Reilly be the "Cousin Eddie" of this one?

No actor has ever played Rusty more than once, so why start with him?

This is definitely a reboot that makes a little more sense.

I'll admit I came into this thread to bitch, but I kinda dig the idea.

What age do you think Helms is? And c'mon man, Christopher Nolan thought enough of him to put him in The Dark Knight.

Chevy will do it for the paycheck, then bitch about the experience after it comes out. I don't see anyway he's not in it, unless he just wants to bitch he's not the lead.

But the whole running gag, "You guys are growing up so fast, I hardly recognize you anymore!" was centered around the fact that the actors were always different. So having Ed Helms is just continuing a great joke from the original movies.
