Screenings of the movie have picked up. There's a show I watch and they said they knew people who had seen and and were pleasantly surprised.

I also heard that a movie exec said about this movie that even if it did make 100 million the first weekend, it's have to do a lot more to pay the bills or some shite. Sounds crazy to me.

If it's over 50% on RT I'll pay theater money to see it.

I was hoping it wouldn't be unwatchable, so this is good news.

I don't know. Prat in the jungle on the motorcycle at night brings back the horror Terra Nova.

about 6 months ago, Cracked.com did a podcast and one of their guys mentioned that two big time franchises are being directed by young directors-one looks great and the other has director that the studio couldn't get on the phone.

Jurassic World was the leader in looking great.

Cracked recently devoted an entire article to slamming Jurassic World

I wouldn't call that slamming, I'd call it pointing out the obvious meta questions about the film-like why would Jurassic Park be open after the events of the first three worlds? Clearly they have to set up danger in the movie, so some of dumb stuff has to happen.

I wouldn't base my movie-going plans on reviews from Cracked.com.

Wasn't that one. Was about the CGI and cinematography

Found it

some people put too much into other people reviews, and dont want to waste $9-$10 dollars on a theatre ticket Everyone likes different things, i have loved moves critics hated and vice versa. I dont mind paying for a theatre ticket to watch a movie. If im upset i wasted $10 then i have more issues to worry about than a movie review.

Agreed, I remember when people didn't give a damn about a critics opinion. Seems like it gets a lot more attention nowadays, maybe because it's the message board era.

I just don't have a great desire to see this in the theater, even before the reviews.

I disagree a lot with how most modern reviewers review shite. When I learned how to really do it (not message board shite but really but in serious man hours) you really should be an expert in the field of what your seeing so they can go in-depth and explore a work in multiple articles. Too many reviewers today just write reviews and move on to other stuff.

I do think reviews are very important for niche sites as they can establish themselves much better. I don't think the last sentence makes sense to anyone else but I'm sleepy and am not going to change it right now.

and thats fine, everyone has different types of movies they enjoy. For instance, i know all the harry potter shite was big and popular.. but i could give a shite about watching it. Critics trashed the new ninja turtles and i enjoyed it. Its all about the person and what they enjoy. Dont watch or not watch a movie because some critic said its great or sucks.

I'll be surprised if it's anything better than "pretty bad."

Jurassic Park is a very flawed movie so I've never understood the whole 'worthy sequel' nonsense. It's considered a classic by some due it being the ultimate spectacle film. A worthy sequel is basically dinosaurs running about and eating people, amidst screaming, spewing a few one-liners and the obligatory annoying kid(s) character(s).

Wow. I would rather watch Harry Potter take a shite than sit through that movie again.
