Dream Casting The Dresden Files (Spoilers Possible)

i actually like a lot of your choices. its a really tough series to cast. Im not wild about Buffy being Murphy.

The other one i dont like is Adrian Brody. I would murder someone if that was Dresden. Olyphant is a good choice I didn't really consider. Ill have to think about it for a second. It's a tough cast.

meh. we should hammer out the bigger characters before going to supporting. i like the olyphant for dresden. yall seem to like the alcatraz chick for murphy.

while im thinking about it, this thread could get spoiler-ish for bojangles who hasnt met some of these characters...

What do you think of Jeffery Dean Morgan for Michael? He's exactly who I picture when I read the books.

I wouldn't be totally sure about that. The rights to film/TV actually go back to Butcher here in the next few couple years, so it's possibly he might be able to make something happen in the future.

For the characters I like a lot of your choices. Gellar or Starbuck would both make great Murphy's. For those that think Gellar is to old, she is almost the same age right now as Murphy is in the series. Starbuck is actually younger than book Murphy. She's supposed to look early-mid 30s.

I like Mads as Marcone. Dean Morgan would make a solid Michael, but I think he might make an even better Kincaid. Dance would be perfect as Nic, he's practically already played that character back in The Golden Child.

Rosario Dawson is an interesting choice for Susan. I picture more of a straight latina, but I do dig Rosario and it could work.

I don't like Brody as Harry, but Olyphant could work. He's tall, lanky, and has the snarky badass who makes mistakes and gets his arse kicked occasionally thing down pat. I just have a hard time not picturing him in cowboy hat and as a lawman, but Harry is basically a magical cowboy/lawman anyway.
