They both tilt their head to the side when watching cartoons.

But I can see where "I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is" would be a green light that she could convince him that it's his kid and that he would love him.

It would be fricked up to take as far as naming her bastard after the man she was going to trick, though.

Well he lost his legs before becoming a shrimper and then as an astronaut missed out on a (potential) moon landing due to the flu.

So pretty sad actually

Which is the bigger question?

Is Jenny's son really Forrest's son also?

Or

Did Dottie drop the ball on purpose?

Absolutely not. There really was a retard from Alabama who grew up in knee braces which made him super fast and he went on to play football for Paul Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama after which he enlisted in the Army and went to Vietnam where he was awarded the Medal of Honor for trying to save his black friend, then after meeting the President, for the second time, spoke at a famous anti-war rally on the Mall where he was reunited with his long lost love, then beat up a hippie. Then, after being selected to represent the United States in a high stakes ping pong match in China, he returned to Alabama and bought a shrimp boat and became the richest shrimper in the south after a devestating hurricane destroyed the rest of the shrimping fleet.

Also, somewhere along the way he ran across America twice and invented the smiley face emoticon.

All of that really happened.

It wasn't the flu. He was exposed to measles so he couldn't go. He ended up never getting them.
