Leonardo DiCaprio is taking a "long, long break" from acting.

The Django Unchained star has admitted he is completely "worn out" after shooting three intense movies back-to-back and is planning to take a significant amount of time away from Hollywood.

"I am a bit drained. I'm now going to take a long, long break. I've done three films in two years and I'm just worn out," the actor, 38, told German newspaper Bild.

Before shooting his latest movie, Leonardo filmed the adaptation of The Great Gatsby with Baz Luhrmann, and Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street.

Hopefully he can take this time to find a real girlfriend and maybe finally get married.

Anyone can pump out 4+ movies a year, just look at Nic Cage. 3 quality films in a 2-year stretch would be quite an accomplishment, however.

Don't get me wrong, I like Leo as an actor, but give me a fricking break. I hate it when entertainers and the super wealthy throw around phrases like that.

99% of them have no fricking clue what it means to truly be exhausted or drained.

Yeah... I can't help but wonder what kind of toll working 6 days a week in a cubicle for a microscopic fraction of what he's making now might take on his body.

Leo is one of the exceptions though. this isn't some easy arse roles that he takes and collects his checks like most actors do. I would agree with you if he were doing the Fast and the Furious or Jack and Jill or other crap however. Leo is one of those actors who I'm willing to say makes up of less than a quarter of the actors out there who truly put their heart and soul into becoming the character. sure it seems like "easy" work to someone who wakes up at 4am everyday to do construction work or something, but you have to open your mind and consider what they are doing is on another level.

he's really shot 4 movies in a row btw (J. Edgar) and all of them were very challenging roles. .

Honestly, I imagine its no easy task nailing roles and reading scripts for intense directors like QT and Scorsese, plus the Gatsby film with Baz.

Yeah Nic Cage puts out a dozen films a year but none of them are worth a shite. Leo is putting out Oscar worthy work with Oscar worthy directors in Oscar worthy films.

Dude goes all out in every role. I'm sure that's why DDL only appears every 3-4 years too.

He's probably creatively drained. He takes his work seriously.

Working in a cubicle = trying to stay focused for a performance for 12-17 hours a day 6-7 days a week. He makes enormous money, but it is hard work.
