Assembling evidence the way Michael C. Hall looked at blood spatters,inquisitr.com is predicting a revival of“Dexter” on Showtime.
“The show is ideal for a reboot, particularly because it is in need of redemption,” the site said, recalling the trail of bodies left by Hall as the title character.
Showtime head David Nevins has expressed an interest in reviving favorite series.
“’Dexter’ is the one show that I would think about [continuing]. It’s a question of when the timing is right,” Nevins said. “If there’s a willingness to do it, I would certainly listen. Certainly I’d look at Dexter.”
Focusing on the secret life as a vigilante serial killer, “Dexter” ended after season 8, drawing a Showtime record 2.8 million viewers to its finale in September 2013.

‘Dexter’ is coming back, according to Showtime execs. But will he pay for what he did and the life he led, or actually wash his hands and move forward?

Backwoods bearded Dexter hacking up mother frickers and leaving them in the woods with no silly family ties.
With Quinn and Batista actively hunting him. After losing their badges and barely avoiding prison following the investigation into Saxons death while in police custody, the truth about Dexter is now widely known, and they are compelled to get answers. For Deb. For Laguerta.
Teamed up with Masouka, the trio races to find and apprehend the unhinged Dexter for themselves as his body count grows and the Feds close in.
No bullshite, just a massive manhunt, lots of blood, and then closure.

I don't need it. Imo, that ship has sailed.

No pun intended?

After such a lackluster ending, there's no place to go but up. Would watch.

Would watch. Although it goes downhill after four, I always thought it was still worth watching. Looking forward to this.

Opening scene:
*Dexter wakes from a horrible dream, just to realize that he passed out from shock seeing Rita's lifeless body in the tub and everything in season 5-8 never happened*

So we have Astor get all coked out and becoming a serial killer because her dad was a criminal, her mom was murdered, and Dexter could hardly be bothered with her.
Meanwhile, Harrison has learned the ways of the World from Hannah, uncovers the truth about his dad and the family he never knew. He must not stop his half-sister, no matter what it takes.

How old is Harrison by now? 7? 8?

Harrison first appeared in season 4, so he would be 7 now.

I will have to watch.
(I wanted a lot more :bangheads: but the preview would only render three.)

It would have to start with an apology for the last few seasons. That stuff was just inexcusable. If they brought it back with better writing and a better creative team then sure, I would check it out.
