You've been warned.

After finishing all 8 episodes, there are SO MANY ways they can go from here on all four (five if you include Punisher) series:
-Misty has to get the bionic arm now. They can throw in a little Easter Egg that Danny had to owe Tony Stark a favor
-There are now two directions they can go with Daredevil season 3: They can have Danny Rand as Daredevil to open the season or they can go with Born Again. If they go with the latter, now that Marvel owns the rights to Quentin Beck, they can potentially cross him over from Spider-Man as well.
-Heroes for Hire. It has to happen at some point. Either during Luke Cage's Season 2, Iron Fist's Season 2, or both. I'd like to see Daughters of the Dragon as well.
-At some point, Trish has to become Hellcat. I hope they introduce Daimon Hellstrom and the Midnight Sons first.
-I've read that Typhoid Mary will be the villain of Jessica Jones season 2. She wouldn't be the first Daredevil villain on that show, as Will Simpson/Nuke was in season 1.
-They've now established the ability to cross all four characters over into each others' shows...a lot. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
-Maggie Murdock. Pretty much guaranteed that Matt meets his mother now.
-INEVITABLY, DANNY RAND/MISTY KNIGHT AND LUKE CAGE/JESSICA JONES HAVE TO BE COUPLED. Sorry Claire and Colleen, but Lucy (Knight) Rand and Danielle (Jones) Cage are established Marvel Canon.
-I would not use the same characters if doing a season 2 of the Defenders. I would introduce the Midnight Sons and have them be the team in season 2.

Oh, you wanted to get the posting in here.
Anyways, I hope they keep going with it. I just would hope they could go "deeper" into each character more so than what we've already seen?
Does Elektra survive that building ? Would that be good for the show to have her live? I never really felt like she was the bad arse the Hand made her out to be.

Elektra has a habit of just not dying.

So, I also wonder how Luke Cage was so strongly effected by Elektra...was Elektra using chi? Because at times she seemed average strength, and then other it was like she was Luke Cage strong. They never really discussed that about her.

Don't forget about Cloak and Dagger. That's coming out next year, and I wonder if any defenders will show up in that.

At the end of the season, as far as the world is concerned, Daredevil is dead.

Thanks, oh no poor matt.

They sure seem to be setting Danny up to take the Daredevil mantel for a little while, so I could see them going with that for DD season 3. And with Netflix decision to not give everyone a show every year, they'll have to be creative with combining characters in each other's shows. They'd have to get real creative to go with the Born Again storyline since Karen is nowhere near a heroin addicted porn star in this universe.
And I agree that Heroes for Hire has to happen at some point. But I'm not sure if they will attempt Daughter of the Dragon, at least not a full stand alone show (maybe a mention of it in either a Iron Fist or Luke Cage season). And can the Trish of this universe really become Hellcat? I guess she could train further with Danny or Matt (she did have some martial arts training in Jessica Jones), but she couldn't have her other comic book powers. And I could definitely see Cage and Jessica hooking up again. They definitely set that up in this one. But I'm not sure how they'd pull off Dany and Misty hooking up with how they've setup Dany and Colleen's relationship, especially if they do decide to do some take on the Daughters of the Dragon. And was Gao the only Finger of the Hand that possibly made it out alive (I'm assuming that since Danny apparently made it out alive)? I like her character, so hopefully we see her again.
And to nitpick the show for a minute, I agree with the person that was confused how Electra was able to hurt Cage. I guess I can go along with the Japanese guy hurting him with pressure point hits or whatever, but Electra and the other Fingers being able to hurt Cage with straight up punches was kind of stupid. If Electra could hurt Cage with a punch, then she would've killed Murdock with one hit. And how were Luke, Jessica, Danny, Claire & Colleen not thrown into a patty wagon the second they stepped out of the building...that they freaking blew up. Look, if the police decided to drop the charges latter because they want to cover it up or whatever, fine. But there is no way that the police, FBI, and ATF don't throw them in jail initially for blowing up a building.
But I liked The Defenders overall. They did a decent job of bringing the heroes together. And 8 episodes was the right number, with the only filler episodes being the first couple that were used to set everything up. The fight scenes could've been a little bit better, but I was entertained. And they set a lot more up in this universe going forward.

How the hell did Matt Murdock get out of the tunnel and where is that missionary hospital is he in.

That is on Freeform, not Netflix. I wouldn't expect much crossover, if any.

Guess we won't know until later? Maybe Elektra pulled Matt Murdock out (like Winter Soldier saved Captain America in CAP 2).

I liked the defenders overall, but I would have liked to see more foggy.

Elektra saved him.
As he was waking up you heard one of the nuns saying, "Go tell her he's awake."

I was really bored by Defenders. I don't like Luke Cage or Danny Rand enough, I guess. I'd be happy with Jessica Jones season 2 and Daredevil season 3.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the nun said "Get Maggie. Tell her that he's awake"...as in Maggie Murdock

Does the avengers not exist in this show? I mean when stuff that can endanger the city comes around they can always call the Avengers. Also at them not believing the whole mystical part of things... Thor is living proof of magic...

Maybe they have more pressing matters?
I understand why they aren't in the show, but it kinda does make you wonder how fast Hulk and Thor could take down the Hand. I'm trying to decide if that would be awesome or boring.

It's not like Matt or Dany has Tony Stark on speed dial. I'm sure some nobody getting through to one of the Avengers wouldn't be that easy. And even if they could get in touch with the front desk at the Avenger's compound, something tells me they'd have a hard time convincing them that they were serious.

There's no telling what ordinary, everyday people think about Thor. Is he an alien, a mutant, or a god? I doubt most people know his actual backstory.
