From what I've heard of first hand accounts Williams was jumping off the rig as soon as he could. He was an electrician on the rig so it is likely he was the one responsible for the alarms that were disabled

And you my sir are correct. He has no idea how to even service the electronics that went to the BOP. He knew nothing about everything. Heck even other crews had to wait until next shift to call an electrician or wake one up. He was the biggest joke on the rig.

So is this just another Captain Philips narrative? The guy who's telling the story to the producers wants to come of as the good guy when in reality everyone else on the rig would have said differently?

That is correct. No one liked the guy. Out there, we were all brothers but he wasn't one of "us". Thought he knew everything but knew nothing. It makes us all sick and many aren't going to see it just so he can't pocket our money somehow. Even though I'm kind of intrigued about seeing it and seeing everything that didn't actually happen

Worse than glorifying this dipshit is the movie dragging good men's names through the mud. Malkovich's character in the movie is the exact opposite from the person in real life.

Yea it's really disgusting how they're using these guys names and how they are portraying them. For people that know nothing about what happened, how,etc.. they will believe this goon and think that's the way it went down. These families are still hurting and this doesn't help at all
