Dear Warner Bros, Here's How to Fix the DCU

Listen, you tried. We can't blame you for wanting something your competitor has and you felt you so rightfully deserve. We have all been there. Your good looking, more popular rival just got voted prom king and is banging the hottest girl in school. You got jealous and instead of thinking, you reacted. You grabbed the flashiest whore you could find to get people to notice you. And they did! But in a bad way, not in a good way. And instead of dumping Zack Snyder, you dug in deeper and put clown makeup on him. You only made yourself look worse and your new girlfriend Ben Affleck has left you.
We don't blame you. We have all been there. But it is time to finally dump the whore, so that you can wipe away the filth he has smeared all over you. Then people can forgive you and move on as well. We all want what's best for you, but you have become your own worst enemy.
So let's take a page out of your own playbook and capitalize on this "Crisis." Put out whatever trashy, dolled up movies that are in the can. You have no choice. Hell, it might even make the Crisis that much stronger and needed. Then let's bring in your savior, the Anti-Snyder aka Anti-Monitor.
The Anti-Monitor was created in 1985 to clean up the mess the DC comic book universe had made. It is time for this dark era liberator to once again pick up his proverbial broom and sweep away the shite storm that has been unleashed on the cinematic universe. Your directors are unhappy and failing you. Your greatest talent under contract is leaving you. You can let them! The Anti-Monitor will give you the coveted second chance at greatness. Hell, even Fox realized how badly they fricked up after X3 and found a way to ignore it. AND PEOPLE ATE IT UP!
For the past 3 decades your company has done a great job of solving "CRISES." Let them do what they do best and reset. You can make this universe great again.
TL;DR You fricked up. Admit it. People will forgive you if you do. Bring in the Anti-Monitor and try again.

Justice League was already getting started before the BvS debacle happened. They might've gotten rid of Snyder if they had more time, but they were kind of stuck.

I know. And that's why we couldn't blame them at that point. We are the parents that sit down their kid and tell them, we aren't mad. We are disappointed.

This would be the first time the movies copied the video game.

That's what they get for rushing into the team up movie. If they had just the smallest bit of patience they could have booted Snyder out with quickness. But noooooo...... we have team up Batman and Superman NOW! Throw in Wonder Woman too! Ok we're ready for a full on JSL in the third movie!!!

Crisis on Infinite Earths was the biggest mistake in the history of DC comics. If DC had just started with a new universe instead of mapping out how they were destroying all previous continuity, they could've tapped into the multiverse to refocus on what had worked better in the past while keeping the new characters that worked.
Instead we get new "resets" every few years, mucking everything up.

I just googled this and after reading half the wiki page, I think I regained my virginity.

wow. definition of hyperbole. I'll let you bask in this one.

Hey! It's Mr. Hyperbole again! So there was a full reset in 1985 and then another one in 2011 with Flashpoint. Then last year restored it to before Flashpoint. So basically 3 in 32 years. Math is fun.

Throwing away 45 years of stories and continuity without a plan as to how you will rebuild? Throwing away the concept of multiple dimensions and multiple possible futures? Realizing after the fact that you erased Superboy and in doing so accidentally erased the Legion of Superheroes?
Yeah, it was their worst decision by far.

I did not grow up a comic book fan and didn't read any of these comic books growing up, so take what I'm going to say for what it's worth: I'm not sure a Justice League movie can work as well on screen as the Avengers.
I know this is overly simplistic, and the different Marvel characters each have different traits and abilities to bring to the table, but the bottom line is that they are essentially a bunch of guys who are really good at fighting. Marvel can make their movies work by simply putting them together and having them beat people up. It's just hard to see that working as well for D.C. You have one super hero who is so powerful he can effectively do anything, one who is so fast he can basically teleport, and they're expected to fight alongside a guy without any actual super powers and another guy who seems to be at his best when he's swimming. It just feels like right off the bat, you're going to have to reach to even get a story where they all need each other and can all contribute in a meaningful way.

Zac Synder has made Warner Brothers a billion dollars profit on his last two films. They didn't give a damn if fanboys do not like the story. What they are doing is work, but the movie did suck. Glad I only paid $1 to see it.

The problem with DC is Superman.
He is basically a god with only one weakness and that weakness has to be woven into any narrative involving him and it is boring.
Any interesting story for DC where Superman is involved has to turn back flips to explain why Superman can't handle it immediately. It is crippling for any interesting stories where he is a player.
Batman is the only interesting DC character in the top tier. The rest are gods either directly or indirectly.
The advantage Marvel has had for the movies is that their characters are people with a few gifts and many weaknesses. They are people. Their being real people lends itself to opportunities for interesting stories. DC doesn't have that.

They need to take a step back from batman and superman for a long time and try to establish other characters more. They need to chalk up batman/superman up as a loss st this point until they can give us something substantial.
You want to combat marvel? I'd start with a lobo movie to combat deadpool. But I imagine they'd frick that up quick.

They lost a lot of money on BvS with a 500 million dollar budget and only making 868 million when they needed to make 925 to cover the budget. They were shooting for at least 1.3 billion.
BvS was a failure.

If Vision is as powerful as Superman, the movies certainly made him half arse it.

Two words:
Teen Titans
If done correctly you could land a massive strike against Marvel's target age range/audience instead of Snyder's cynical, mopey view of superheroes.

Teen titans would do great in the box office. I don't care for it but they could really dig in to marvel's take on the young Xavier and crew. With more to play with.

He's a living Infinity Stone. Plus his usual powers from the comics.
