this is definitely one of those movies where if you don't think it's amazing you're going to get called a troll

I don't think so. It's not as big as other comic book properties, or Star Wars for example. Deadpool fans will love it, but I"m curious to see how GA react to it. I've shown the trailers to my wife and friends and they all thought it looked dumb.

I'm not into comic books and I thought the trailers looked pretty stupid/corny. I'll see it if the ratings are high.

I'm a big fan of the character, but we have a case of two different Deadpool's. We have the early 90's Deadpool, and the Deadpool that was kinda adopted by the Internet.

The second one is a bit too self aware and meta in my opinion. People think he is a badass now, I thought he was a much better character in the early 90's before his 4th wall breaking antics and became 90 percent of the character.

ok i was wondering where this deadpool came from and that makes sense. i was an early 90s X-Men/Force kid and i didn't remember the character being this zany and wacky. he was cocky for sure but wasn't to the level of the movie version. i remember the deadpool/cable/deadpool sort of love triangle

I don't have much of a background for dead pool as with other xmen/ avengers. Anything I can watch/read to get ready for this one??

There are a multitude of good Deadpool comics out there, but nothing that stands out in particular. There are so many iterations of the guy, I wouldn't know where to start.

I thought the trailer looked like crap. But I'm not a comic fan.

The review I read earlier said it was a good movie because it was cool and the character was fun but that the story kinda sucked and there were several underlying problems.

If someone calls you a troll, are you going to cry?

This post screams of insecurities

Yup

There were some funny parts in the promo stuff (like the guy falling and him saying "he was here before we got here") but a lot of shite like the prom sex line and the avocado line were downright cringeworthy

Yeah it's possible that they left all the good jokes out but the promo made it seem like the comedy was stuff that junior high kids would find hilarious.

So you were the fan of the Deathstroke rip off? Robert Liefeld has never had an original idea ever. Didn't he even admit in interviews that he was a huge Deathstroke fan?

Deadpool was so terrible that he morphed into a parody of shitty generic 90's anti-heroes. I think that is what made him such a cult favorite, he mocks some of the worst traits of comic books.
