Cable's design made me realize comic book movies have officially come full circle.
1999- X-Men movie inspired by the comics.
Early 2000s- X-Men comic line takes inspiration from the X-Men movies: costumes, character design, Xavier ' s being an actual school.
Today: Cable using a more realistic design from the comics that were inspired by the movies. Clearly, Cable is an almost direct match for Igor Kordey 's redesign from that early 2000s period when he worked on Cable/Soldier X. Right down to the t-shirt, hair cut, thinner build with his techno - virus arm visually extending into his neck.
That's meta shite and I hope they pick up on it for the movie.
