The destroyed city was awesome.
Basically every setup scene was amazingly gorgeous. And the CGI was quite well done.
There are reasons to hate the movie, but visuals are certainly not one of them. That goes in the accomplishment checkbox.

There is no anti Snyder bias with critics to the point they will crap on a movie just b/c he directed
Then you haven't been paying attention.
Yes these reviews/critics have been shitty, but that should be a sign to moviegoers to do what I've been doing for years now: Ignore them. Critics go into movies with biases and wanting to compare them to other films. It's pathetic and goes against what their job entails. You are suppose to judge a film based off its individual merits. You disregard your feelings on the production staff and judge the final product as presented to you when you see the movie. Take some time with it after you see it to collect your thoughts on it and then write your review. But they don't do that and that's why these reviews are becoming more apparent in the joke that they are.
Having said that, these idiots sending these threats need to chill out. If you enjoyed it, then great, no need to threaten the people's who opinion you disagree with especially when their opinion is nowhere near the consensus of the movie and their opinion is becoming less and less meaningful as the months go by.

I agree with all that. Hated Lex. Strangely, if I recall the early reviews listed Lex as a strong point.

It was not beautiful. It looked fake.

This is a fairly common phenomenon that occurs with major film franchises.
Critics Get Death Threats for Panning 'Star Wars

The critics do get a little picky.
I just watched Jurrasic World again (on HBO). That got a 71% fresh rating and a shite-ton of movie. I saw it in the theaters, and watched it on demand as soon as I knew it was out.
I forgot just how laughably bad some of that movie was. I mean, the younger boy just needed to be edited out entirely, he approaches Jar Jar levels of annoying. The mom and aunt crying parts were cringe-worthy. Some of the dinos communicating (the raptors swapping sides) was flat out dumb. The effects were cool, but at times confusing (I never did figure out why that one raptor exploded in the final fight).
I expected the last surviving raptor and the T-Rex to fist-bump after they won.
And you know what, I still enjoyed the movie for what it was... just as I did with BvS.
