What’s your opinion of the show. Just finished episode 2 of season 1. Interesting concept but the voice overs bother me. Is it worth continuing?

Damn good show. Just make sure you pay attention. I had to watch season 1 twice to know what the hell was going on.

Voiceovers? Watch in German with English subtitles. So much better.

Excellent show, but turn off the voice overs. You don't get the same emotion with voice overs

Not directly related to OP but the viewer psychology with foreign language shows fascinates me.
I enjoyed the shite out of Narcos even though it was like 60% in Spanish, but when I see a highly rated show with no English at all I’m like “ehhh.. but I’ll have to read subtitles.”

Dark is 100% a show you need to watch with subs vs dubs. it's an emotionally heavy show. some shows you wont lose much with it being dubbed, this isnt one of those

Dark is incredible. After a few episodes look up a character chart (s1 only) to help. There are some montages towards the end of a few episodes that are amazing. The music is perfect. Really everything is perfect. Only flaw is it gets confusing if you don't pay attention, and sometimes it's still confusing even if you do. But the payoff is worth it later on when the dots get connected.
As others have said, do not watch dubbed. Watch in subtitles. I think this board needs a sticky with that advice for all foreign shows.

I wish I were in your shoes, being able to watch the entire series from beginning to end, instead of having to wait in between each season. It would’ve made following along much easier. By the time the new seasons dropped I’d basically forgotten everything, and felt like I was missing out on a lot that would’ve increased my enjoyment.

show is so good that it was never bad/boring to just do a quick rewatch
