Yeah, Idris Elba is one of my favorite working actors now.

I love Craig but the last thing I want to see is him sleepwalking through a Bond movie just to collect the paycheck.

The producers know they've boxed themselves into a corner with the current storyline. If they don't get Craig, they'll have to reboot yet again. It wouldn't be the smooth transition we've had in the past. Craig has tons of leverage here.

At this point, why not have a series of Double 0 agents who are doing work in various parts of the world? Expand the Bond franchise to others - male and female alike - and do movies off of them?

This won't happen. The Broccoli Family (yes that's their real name) control the fate of the Bond movie franchise because their father was the original producer/financier. They are extremely protective and proud of the Bond brand and the mystique. Much like how Bill Murray held up Ghostbusters 3 because he didn't want to something just for money.

They seem to put quality and prestige in front of greed unlike Disney and basically every other movie company now a days. They will never sacrifice the Brand by watering it down by over saturation the way Star Wars is about to do. They have final say...

Haven't there been something like 25 Bond movies?

That is the definition of "watering" something down.

Oh please. This is Sony we're talking about. Only the Bond franchise and Seth Rogan are worth a damn with how they've been doing things. Sony is so incompetent that Disney had to come take Spider-Man over and make a half way decent film.

And Blofeld was cringe worthy in the last film, to where he's responsible for literally everything bad that has ever happened to James. It makes no fricking sense how he could have been behind what Silva was doing. There's really no how to any of it, just that he somehow was behind everything bad that has happened to James.

The reports I saw are in pounds. That would mean 200+ million dollars.

craig is by far the worst bond ever. at this point, he has ruined bond so the best thing they could do is reboot and have someone like idris elba come in and re-introduce some swagger back into the bond figure.

James Bond is the cover identity linked to the agent holding the 007 title. It's why he has no problem telling everyone and his mother that his name is Bond.

This is a terrible theory and no real bond fan believes it. Does MI6 mandate that all these agents be trained to have impeccable taste in dining and alcohol too? Is there a Baccarat 101 course in spy school ?

I liked SPECTRE, but I thought that was pretty lame. They could've done a slow burn with Blofeld, like Star Wars is doing with Snoke or with the Emperor. Instead, they just jumped right in the deep end and shoehorned Blofeld into the last few movies. Really got ahead of themselves and ruined a good character. Also no reason to have him related to Bond.

I know he hates it but DAMN

I think I could find a way to make myself okay with fellatio if there was a $150 million payoff for it.

They need to reboot with a younger, hipper Bond who plays Pokemon Go and only eats locally sourced foods. Bond fans can cringe like I did when Doctor Who put on his sonic "deal with it" sunglasses and started uploading memes to the inter-galactic internet.

That's exactly what I would expect to happen in a spy program that expects its agents to mingle with the rich and elite in covert operations.
