Bond shouldn't be a street king.

ETA: In all seriousness, the three actors I'd like to see replace Craig are (in no particular order) Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, or Tom Hiddleston.

I think your favorite usually has a lot to do with when you grew up. I am a huge 007 fan. I have seen every movie at least 5 times. Some more. I really like Craig at Bond. He brought a little different skill set to 007.

For me, I grew up in the Roger Moore era. I really liked those movies. I also really liked Brosnan. Connery was the original Bond and i understand the love for him as well.

I would rank them

Moore
Brosnan
Connery/Craig
Dalton
Lazenby (more or less because of his limited time)

My parents were big fans so I watched the Moore movies over and over as a kid. Connery set the stage

I hate it Craig is not going to continue. His movies were very intense and well done...

I've asked this before, but where does Bond go from here if Craig leaves? Do they reboot the franchise again? They've spent the last 4 movies going into Bond's past and building the new Bond "universe" that it would seem silly to start all over again but I imagine a new Bond would want to change direction from Craig's Bond. Would Fiennes return as M and Harris as Moneypenny? It just seems like they've painted themselves a bit in the corner with continuity. If they reboot, what a wasted opportunity they had with Blofeld.

Whatever direction they go in, I hope they dial back the darkness. Casino Royale is arguably one of the best Bond movies ever and it wasn't "dark." We don't need Brosnan's Bond but let's quit worrying about Bond fighting his past or his inner demons. That's why I hope Martin Campbell does the next Bond movie if there is a new Bond.

He must be set for life and interested in pursuing projects that go in a different creative direction; I don't see him getting that kind of paycheck for any other future roles.

didn't he go looking for a free role in Star Wars, only for us to not even see his face?

They tried to be so 'progressive' that they dug themselves an insurmountable hole. They need to bring it back to the foundation. Traditional Bond formulas. You can still do a lot with that basic blueprint. Get rid of Waltz's Blofeld. Spectre was one of the most hollow, joyless experiences in recent memory. The current direction of the series is 100% untenable.

Enough of the backstory shite.

Agree. That's spent. Also, I liked Spectre but making Bond & Blofeld long lost "brothers" was awful. Like I said, they completely wasted Blofeld. They should've teased his reveal over a few movies like they did in the Connery movies.
