We are caught up on The Flash and are looking for another series out there that is both excellent and appropriate for an 8yo boy. We watch Arrow, but that gets to be a bit too adult at times. Plus this last season has lost our interest.

It does suck that most series out these days are not kid friendly, but I am hoping there are some that I am unaware of.

Agents of Shield is on NetFlix and is decent and pretty clean. Once Upon A Time might fit as well. There's a decent amount of cleavage, but not much actual innuendo.

Does it need to be current? There are a lot of non current scifi/fantasy shows that are reasonably family friendly. Merlin is 5 seasons of young King Arthur and Merlin. For the most part it's pretty clean and focused on action. It's on NetFlix as well.

Your avatar and your request... they oppose each other.

Supergirl is great for kids. Free on the CBS app or you can pay to watch it on CBS Access or on Amazon. It should be on Netflix fairly soon.

Grimm would be fun for an eight year old.

We tried this one, but the CBS app only had eps 6-12 and not the entire season. Am I doing something wrong within the app?

I used to watch this one and enjoyed it, but somehow I lost track over the last couple of years. This is a good suggestion though

Once Upon a Time, especially later seasons when they get in Hook, Peter Pan, Brave, etc..

Overall Grimm may be ok, but between the occasional beheadings, sex and preganancy because of sex plot points, I think there might be a few more uncomfortable moments with his 8 year old than he's looking for.

Probly not. The majority of the plot would be lost on them

There are a few S and B bombs dropped

An 8 year old may think parts with the monster in it are scary

Really good show though. I would watch for yourself then decide whether or not

He's actually quite bright for his age. Mild cursing we are ok with as long as subject matter doesn't get too intense. Yeah I may watch the first few eps to see if it's ok or not

Check out Video Game High School on youtube. There are 3 seasons. Kind of hokey, but fun and good for an 8 year old
