In the show he thinks the exact same way as the rest of us in the situations that he gets himself into, but more than 90% of us never act on what we're thinking or wanting to say. He does, and that's what makes the show so great.

This exactly.

I lose it every time Jeff's wife tells LD to leave their house.

"frick you Larry, Get the hell out!" something like that every time

I was happy they found a place for that in the series finale.

this is the last thing i read on wiki about CYE.

quote:

HBO has said that it is "cautiously optimistic" that David will do a ninth season. The network's president of programming, Michael Lombardo, commented, "For the first time ever after this season Larry didn't say 'I never want to do this again.'"[10] Lombardo, along with co-president of programming Richard Plepler, stated that David will finalize his decision following realization of his film project,[11] likely meaning Clear History.[12]

I think I've seen that his character in the show is based on himself if he had absolutely no social awareness. His character combined with a lot of improv make it one of the funniest around.

I about died when Funkhouser told Jerry his joke. That wasn't planned and Jerry's reaction is 100% genuine

That's great. I know a lot of show is improvised but I didn't know that joke was. I need to rewatch that

One of my favorite scenes is after Jeff bangs Funkhouser's crazy sister and he's responding to her faces/gestures at dinner with everyone around

I discovered Pink Berry thanks to this.

Yeah the way I describe it to people is that the series as a whole doesn't really build on itself like other shows

Wrong. Each season has a continuous arc (Seinfeld reunion, adopted, The Producers, the restaurant, etc.)

Cool but is there any mention or significance of those arcs besides the season that they are in.

Each season does have its arc, but that doesn't really translate to the next season as much as other shows do IMO, and that's why I said the series as a whole doesn't build up on itself. I guess it made more sense to me when I originally typed it because in my mind I was comparing to Arrested Development.

Not really.. like he mentioned, the seasons have story arcs, but the next season doesn't really build from the previous.
