Partially my fault, I didn't check my bank statement on a regular basis. I have let Cox do an automatic bank draft for the monthly bill, never again. My bill had been in the $175-$185 range for cable TV and internet for a long time. Today I was gathering up tax year bill and I found out that starting in August, Cox started stealing an additional $55 out of my bank account and in December they took a whopping $280.

After an hour on the phone with their Indian Idiots, Banglore Bandits, or whatever you want to call them, I found out they had a "rate increase" of which I was not notified, and in December I was charged an additional $50 for a service call. The service call was to install a mini-box, it never happened.

I got the rate back and the service charge reversed after a lot of arguing and screaming, but they will not refund the 5 months of overcharge.

The moral of the story is no autopay, check every statement or they will steal from you.

You really have no one to blame but yourself. You probably were notified of the rate increase but since you never look at your bills you didn't see it. They didn't steal anything.

I get emails about all my bills before they pull from autopay, you should check that out.

i don't do autopay, but there is an increase in rate after your promotion runs up...

all you have to do is call cox, ask to speak to the customer loyalty department.. and tell them you are leaving if they don't cut your bill back down.. and they will work with you and give you an even better deal than before..

but you have to do that every time your promotion is up.

Cox always does 2yr pricing when you get their service, then it goes up. They don't try to hide it yet this thread happens again and again.

I just told those clowns to piss off - no more cable tv for me and I'm just fine without it.

Never buy media packages at expiring discounted rates.

You were undoubtedly informed of the rate increase. I suspect you never actually read your bills or emails from Cox.

So did you recently start paying your bills yourself? You sound retarded.

If you are paying that much for TV and Internet, then you are getting ripped off. I have gigabit Internet, TV package that includes HBO, and I'm only paying $130.
