Anyone checking this show out? Pretty interesting story of Gordon Cooper, the astronaut, creating a map of ship wrecks while orbiting the earth. Looks like they actually find stuff on this one.

I definitely think it's interesting.
I also think you would be hard pressed to find a bigger douchebag than Darrell Miklos.

His dad is definitely a piece of work. I don't know how much of that is real or how much is staged, but I would have a hard time not knocking that bastard on his arse.

Much of an episode (where he went into Cooper's wife's garage) just looked staged - kinda turned me off so I stopped it there. Probably won't be back.

Apparently they're gonna air this on that show (they recently found Columbus's ship?) LINK

That's pretty awesome. Yeah, the beginning of the first episode was staged as frick, but now they are getting into the show, it's a decent watch. But that father and son are pretty douchy.

I tried to watch this show but I agree it comes off as very staged. I also find myself going back to Dennis Quaid as Gordo Cooper in The Right Stuff.

When I was in high school back in 84 we watched the Right Stuff everyday on laser disc during 6th hour from the end of May until we got out in early June.

Quaid did such an awesome job with that role. Great movie.

It will rank right up there with Geraldo's Al Capone Vault episode when all is said and done.

Yeah, but this is different. That show was just a couple of hours of Geraldo being a jackass while other people cracked a safe. This show is entertaining on its own because you're seeing the guy put together the clues in front of him to try to find these sites. Whether or not he finds anything, the journey is enjoyable so far. The exchange where he's got Gene Kranz looking like he's ready to throw hands was priceless.

Also, that guy and his dad are some pieces of work.

What was he expecting to happen going in there asking about NASA secrets and long range nuclear detection epuipment? And the look on Darrel's face when he was like "no, no I didn't mean to uh ... no, that's not what uh .. uh". Dumbass

I started watching it the other day out of curiosity. All reality tv is staged but I'm just hoping for something entertaining. Hope it doesn't go the way of "Curse of Oak Island". It got unwatchable pretty early on.
