I really hope they don't make him the next Indiana Jones as it is rumored.

I think they could do a shitload of a lot worse for the next Indiana Jones than Chris Pratt. Let us not forget, they cast Shia LaBeouf as Indy's son. People like Chris Pratt, he can play a wise-arse and he can do action stuff.

Indiana Jones

He is Harrison Ford 40 years ago....1975 Harrison Ford before Star Wars....right after American Graffiti...same likability...charisma on the screen...

What am I missing? He seems to be very average and is somehow landing lead roles in these major blockbuster movies.

I agree with you to an extent. I mean he killed it in Parks and Rec. It's all about who you know I would imagine. Someone has to give these actors their first "big break."

His first MAJOR roles were The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm sure there was some sort of connection(writer, producer, director, etc) between these movies and the Parks and Rec show.

And then once you make that jump to major roles, the people you know just become more important. Before you know it, Steven Spielberg casts you as a lead in Jurassic World...AND THEN you become Indiana fricking Jones!!!

WOW, OK that IS a pretty rapid rise to stardom for the slightly chubby, goofy supporting role guy on a TV show.

I think I have to give you an upvote.

I'm trying to think who they could get for Indiana Jones who would be better than Chris Pratt. I like Aaron Paul a lot, but I don't think he could do the role. Same with Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum or Joseph Gordon-Levitt. There was some talk about Matthew McConaughey playing Indy -- he would probably be good, but I couldn't see him playing the part.

What a load of crap

Well, what is considered funny and charismatic is entirely subjective. I found him neither. Clearly you disagree. I don't like that type of leader or hero though.

I think Nathan Fillion would be 1000 times better than Pratt for Indiana Jones.
