I was in Milwaukee for a wedding this past weekend, and the day of the wedding, I woke up really early and went to Madison with a couple friends to see Farley's grave. (Side note--Madison always gets #1 on every list of the greatest college towns, and you can see exactly why immediately when you enter the town--it's the real deal.)

Here's a Farley commercial I probably only saw twice 20 years ago and never again until I just found it on YouTube: LINK

When a guy has a reputation for being a really nice guy or an absolute dick, that's probably never wrong (ie, everybody says Tom Hanks is nice, so there's probably no way that he's an a-hole, and everybody says that Chevy Chase is a dick, so there's probably no way that he's a sweetheart). I've never heard a single negative thing about Farley as a person, which makes it all the more sad that there never was a balls-to-the-wall intervention to help him with his problems.

If I could magically wish back one actor, it would undoubtedly be chris Farley. A little piece of the funny inside of me died when he did

I posted a thread several months back where you could hear chris Farley in a blind melon recording I found on archive.org

You can distinctly hear is voice telling a girl he worked on SNl and then you can hear his laugh which was unmistakeable. Really eerie.

He was my favorite actor when I was a kid. I loved everything he was in and still do till this day. The only celebrity death that actually made me feel sad. Wish he was still here but glad we got to witness him for the little amount of time that we did. Beverly Hills Ninja was always my favorite.

Have y'all heard Jay Mohr talk about Farley on his podcast? Good stuff, but it makes Farley sound a bit crazy, which I guess he was.

The picture of his dead body with the bubble coming out of his mouth is cringe worthy.

Him and David Spade were the perfect odd couple. Played so well off of each other.

Farley: Did you hear i finally graduated?

Spade: Yeah. And just shy under a decade too...all riiiight.

Farley: You know, a lot of people go to college for 7 years.

Spade: Yea they're called doctors

Richard, who's your favorite Little Rascal? Is it Alfalfa or SPANKY?

Hey, you remember that time...

That was awesome.

The most chilling quote about Farley's death was when David Spade said he didn't go to the funeral because he "could not be in a room where Chris was in a box."

Just a sad story.
