I'll check it out. Will be interesting to see him not acting like a faux Conservative.

He'll do the best he can do with a format that is beyond outdated and stale.

Will watch. Letterman is a legend, but his act was tired and I hadn't watched him in a couple of years or more.

I'm interested to see what type of show Colbert will bring us.

How similar will it be to what Jimmy Fallon does to make The Tonight Show a ratings hit? Will Colbert play games and do sketches? The Tonight Show is very active on social media, I'm sure CBS would love to see Colbert embrace that.

Hopefully he stays as far away from doing Fallon's bullshite as possible. Colbert's actually funny so he shouldn't need to resort to faggy song/dance numbers for laughs and guests playing games for applause.

He'll make the shown his own. He's by far the most intelligent of the late night hosts.

He'll be nothing like Fallon, I assure you.

Not sure why he thought the trailer was a good idea. There wasn't one amusing part other than the camp town races lyrics being mildly amusing.

Good thing I know he'll be great behind the desk with a guest to interview.

Gonna be weird seeing him "out of character."

We are on the same page. Hate that gimmicky Fallon shite. I like Fallon but his show feels targeted at fricking Tweens.

The gimmicky stuff is the only reason people watch Fallon. His interviews are terrible. Just like SNL he can't make it through without giggling like schoolgirl.

Because it basically is. Fallon is a good businessman, and he knows what works and understands the celebrity-obsessed, social media culture we live in and capitalizes on it. It's why people say we'll never see another Letterman type, because no one dares say frick you to any of the vapid idiots Fallon has on his show.

Agree. Carson would never have done that,

judging from that promo I doubt he's going that much different from who he was on the Report, just less political.

And if it is legitimately funny, it's better to just wait for the Youtube video. Those are rare for Fallon, though.
