I didn't include Ciniplex because most of their theaters are in Canada
For a comparison with a similar film from Sony "This is the End" had its widest release on 3055 domestic theaters. The movie made over $101 million with a production budget of just $32 million (without marketing).
Remember that these are just the major chains that aren't showing the film. There are a lot of smaller chains that will probably drop it or delay it as well.

Horrible theaters anyway. Always my last choice to see a movie if there are other options.

I hoped we'd have a 'go frick yourselves' attitude about this but it's too much to ask. Carmike has theaters in mostly shitty towns, big terrorist targets.
