They can't release a trailer because the SFX is not in for them to release a trailer yet. It's not a matter of owning it or not it's a matter of actually being able to release a finished product.

In that case, it's pretty stupid of them to release an unfinished trailer at Comic Con knowing full well that it could be easily pirated.

And are you saying that Apocalypse is going to look different? He's already on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
