Just saw the final scene and all I can say is Holy shite.

Bryan Cranston is the mother fricking man.

We saw Walter White turn in Heisenberg mid-sentence! "If that’s the case. That you don’t know who I am. Maybe your best course would be to tread lightly.”

quote:

And finally, the final straw. Walter is the man who knocks. He is the danger. He is not a pointless victim, cruising to a merciful end, who simply provided for his family. It never was that, and it’s not worth it. He cannot allow Hank to assume the evil, the brilliance, the fear was a façade, and a timid teacher just acting out. Walter was so much more. Bryan Cranston, masterful as always, delivers these two lines perfectly – first shivering and pleading suddenly resigned to his fate, and then cold, ruthless and suddenly defiant. Walter plans to go down, guns blazing, as we, and Carol, have seen. The threat bubbles from his lips easily, the lies now laid bare.

From Aaron Paul's AMA this past Tuesday (no spoilers):

quote:

I gotta be honest. I never wanted Breaking Bad to end, simply because I'm a huge fan of the show and I didn't want to be unemployed. But after reading the final 8 episodes and understanding where the writers are going with it. I'm so happy they ended it the way they did and I think all of you will be happy as well. It's a dark, crazy ride to the final episode but it is a fun one. Yeah, bitch.
