I think we hate skylar from the beginning because we still feel Walt at that point is trying to provide for her and she's just getting in the way of that. Everyone wishes she would just stop digging and let Walt be. Obviously women are gonna women and what she does early on is how 9/10 women would handle the situation as she still loves Walt at this point.
Through the whole series she is within reason. Her fricking ted is within reason as Walt is a monster who uses his family as an excuse to his power trip. Walt only seems happy when A.) he was working with Gretchen and B.) cooking meth and making money.

yep, because he's the protagonist (although not really "good") and we want to see him be badass heisenberg and make meth and be a kingpin. We want that story arc and she gets in the way of it.
All I was saying that at this juncture early on the series, she is 100% absolutely justified in her behavior.

And even her fricking Ted wasn't "cheating". She and Walt were separated and I think she fricked Ted and dropped it in Walt's lap in attempt to get him the frick out of their lives.
And frick Walt's "pride" for not taking Gretchen and Elliot's help over becoming a meth cook.
He had a handicapped son and a pregnant wife and he was, at the time of diagnosis, dying - less than a year to live. Who gives a shite about his precious male ego and pride at that point?
Men - and women - eat heaps of shite everyday and do things that hurt their pride to provide for their family. frick Walt for putting his hurt feelings above his wife and children.
