Wow, what a movie. Not even sure where to start.

I absolutely loved it, more than the original. Just the twists and turns, the cinematography, the aesthetic, the themes, the soundtrack, all exceptionally well done.
I count Empire as more science fantasy and no one remembers Star Trek 1, so I do think it is the best sci fi sequel of all time. Top 10 sci fi film for me easily. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Great movie. I thought it kept the unique style of the original. Beautiful movie.

Yeah I need time and a few more viewings to really say where I would put it next to the original or just in general but I went in with high expectations and they were surpassed in every way

I am surprised that Hans Zimmer scored this movie. I can typically point it out almost immediately when he has his paws on it, but I did not recognize it until I just looked it up. He should certainly be nominated twice this year for Best Score, although I do think Dunkirk is a bit better.

This will definitely win best cinematography. Some of the best I've ever seen.

It was originally Johan Johansson and they switched last minute. I'm not sure if they retained some of his work and Hans do the rest or what.

We've only said this 13 times for Roger Deakins, and we're still waiting.

I feel obligated to point out the hotness that is Ana de Armas.
If you have not seen Knock Knock, I highly recommend that you give it a watch.

I read a little about that and it sounded like Villeneuve wanted a complete makeover. I was very surprised seeing how he has worked with Johansson on his past movies and the switch wasn’t made until like June/July
And it wasn’t just Zimmer, Benjamin Wallfisch (IT) was involved too

His hologram GF was one of the hottest I've ever seen on screen. She's worth the price of admission.
I suppose Gosling was indeed the perfect choice to play a replicant because he does his silent Drive acting thing again. I think he actually talked more in Drive.
I'd love to see an Honest Trailers - starring Ryan Gosling staring.
Not a big fan of these CGI homage insertions ala the Star Wars reboots.
But great movie - even if it is way too long because of its glacial pace. But even that wasn't terrible because I was never bored. The Ford - Gosling fight was too long.
And I swear they cast that Halt and Catch Fire chick to dress her up like Daryle Hannah.

Never saw the original but checked this out after work.
I loved it more as the film went on. By the end I really liked it. Probably the only reason I was meh on the first half was because I was still trying to learn about the world that I knew nothing about.
Still, the visuals and acting were superb and I did like the twists and turns the story took. Really solid film.

I am watching the Final Cut of Bladerunner right now for the first time. Bought my ticket for 2049 tomorrow.
I am excited.

Also, the score is some of the best I've ever heard.
Blown away by the score.

Damn amazing film. I fricking loved it. There was a little fluff here and there, but holy shite was it great.
When they played the "Tears in the rain" music as Joe/K died... when Joe realized he wasn't Deckard's son... when his hologram girlfriend died.
I absolutely loved pretty much the entire cast bar Leto (just fricking despise the shite out of him, glad his role was a lot smaller than I thought it would be).
When they brought in a "replica" of Rachel and she was shot in the head, woah.
They are really getting better with the CGI face stuff. It went from young Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy, to Grand Moff Tarkin in Rogue One, and now Rachel in Blade Runner 2049; it looked great.

My lord.... What a fricking smoke show... One of the hottest women I've ever seen on screen in this.

Is Ford more than just a cameo? How many minutes is he in this?
Posted on 10/7/17 at 12:29 am to JabarkusRussell
He's in the entire final act of the film.
