Yeah guilty pleasure. It got way better after the first season though. There was some pretty cringe stuff in season 1.

I'm just hoping it stays somewhat realistic in S4.

Man, this show has become so cringe-worthy. My wife bailed but i watched last night.
Its SO over the top and the writing rivals the Star Wars prequels, but its cheap entertainment.
The dialogue where everyone has the best one liners and talks 100 mph and just walks in a room, says a kickass one liner, then leaves. i just shake my head.
And Taylor might be the most annoying character on TV.
I mean, Wags last night talking to those high up Arab Emirates, just saying "Shake Khan, Shaka Khan, and starts singing". did a 5 year old write that?
And just stupid references that they shoe horn in like when they are all talking and then Axe asks his lawyer if they are tightened up, and his lawyer says, "We are tighter than AC/DC in 87". Its just dialogue that doesnt fit and i cringe when they say it.

I love this show! Chuck on the trading favors scavenger hunt was so much fun. Some people in this thread need to go watch something else. This isn’t a Vince Gilligan or Matthew Weiner type show. It’s a high level soap opera legal/finance procedural.

I still love the show especially Wags, but that part really bothered me. My wife who was barely paying attention even said no way he would speak to them like that.

I agree. The dialogue is ridiculous.
Same for Taylor. He/She just walks in a room and gives a wooden quick witted speech and just walks out.

I love the encyclopedic movie reference knowledge everyone has on the tip of their tongue.
The show was co-created by a CNBC anchor, Andrew Ross Sorkin (no relation), and it's an exaggeration of people like Cramer, who is always dropping movie references on TV. quote:

Again, it's exaggeration, but these are very competitive people, and they try to one-up each other on bullshite like this. The lawyer not so much, but the traders would bet on the way a drop of water breaks as it travels down a window pane. It's all about beating the other guy.

i thought seasons 1 and 2 were fantastic, but season 3 really lost me. it didnt feel like the same quality.
and while i do enjoy some of the dialogue on the show, i can understand people thinking that everyone having mic-dropping one liners in every conversation is insufferable.
