Shutter Island

If they use the same ending in the new movie as the book its going to surprise a lot of people. However, some movie sites say that Martin will alter the ending.

You thought the old guy was Hanks

It was obvious from the get go (hence the name of the movie) that it was Damon's character

While that was a good twists, I thought that the twists that the little boy was the REAL identity was 80's slasher trash.

I doubt many people have seen that one.

Definitely a tough one to follow because of all the psychotic hallucinations and stream of conscious stuff.

I haven't seen it in years. Is it even out on dvd?

SIGNS had that cool moment at the end when "everything" came together.

If you're just talking about great twists, and not great movies, it has to be The Sixth Sense. Usually I figure out the twist before it happens. In this one, I had no idea. If you saw it early on, there was no reason to look for a twist, which is why it was so great. If you didn't see it within the first week or so, you had likely already heard that the twist at the end was great, which basically ruins the twist.

Silence of the Lambs (when Dr. Lecter pretends to be dead and uses the real dead guard's skin for a false face.)

The Wizard of Oz. If that stupid bitch Glinda would have told Dorothy to click her heels together right away........:)

Shawshank Redemption - when Warden Norton doesn't believe Andy's story about hearing a witness who really killed his wife from Tommy, instead he puts Andy in solitary for a month, then kills Tommy.

Slaughterhouse Five - Billy Pilgrim dies and goes to another planet and gets wildly f----d by Valerie Perrine - have to see it to believe it.
The first "dream sequence flashback" movie - 1972.
