because its some of the worst over acting of all time. Her overacting is so bad it makes William Shatner cringe. The scene where she leaves the house and cops come by is the absolute worst, its just terrible/funny. I get she was derrange and furious and strung out, but she was still laughably bad.

And its not because she played a junkie/hooker low life. There have been plenty of low life, junkies in movies. John Travolta was a junkie in Pilp Fiction and he was AWESOMe as just 1 example. Or Michael Imperioli on the Sopranos. Sharon Stone is just not a good actress. She's hot, but not a good actress and was in way over her head.

Frankly I think Scorsece just phoned in this movie, it could have been great, but wasn't. It has some good moments, but over all, yeah, Goodfellas is leaps and bounds ahead,

What brings Casino closer is Pesci's speech to the banker where he explains "What he does".

But that isn't enough.

Goodfellas for the win.

Goodfellas is a better movie, but Casino is a more compelling story IYAM.

Both are great films but I give Goodfellas the edge for two reasons. One is this scene (especially with Nilsson's Jump Into The Fire in the background.) The other is that I think that Goodfelllas has the better "Pesci gets whacked" scene.

Goodfellas for me. Although I really enjoy Casino too. One of the best scenes is Pesci dragging Stone out of the restaurant with her kicking and screaming the whole way and him being so nonchalant about it.

They're both great mob movies but I just think Goodfellas had a better ensemble.

While Casino was great, just watched a good bit of it tonight on HBO, Goodfellas is a better film and more memorable.

Goodfellas, I love the voice over type movies and Ray Liotta has the perfect voice for it.

Casino was a voice-over movie, too, Dude - Deniro and Pesci alternated voice-over narratives.

You know I've never actually seen Casino except for the baseball bat scene. So I guess I'll have to go Goodfellas by default.

I know man.....I didn't say Casino didn't...but I just think Ray's voice is better for it.

And Ray insisted that one of the recording engineers or technicians sit across from the table while he recorded the voice-over - so that he would be telling the story to someone, rather than just talking to a microphone in an empty room.

I think that helped, because most voice-overs DO sound like the person talking to themselves in an empty room.
