Wow. Both New Girl and Parks and Rec are terribly overrated on this board. Just. Terribly.

I'm not even a huge fan of Louie or Workaholics, but both are funnier than New Girl and Parks and Rec.

The best sitcom was recently cancelled and it was Happy Endings. That show was non-stop funny. Wayans needs to be on TV. I could watch him in every sitcom ever made. The pilot for New Girl was so much better than the show it ended up being because he was in it.

Always sunny was during its first 3 or 4 seasons. After that it was just ok.

Parks and Rec is head and shoulders above the rest. BBT lost it when Walowitcz lost his testicles and Penny became one of the nerds.

The season where dee was pregnant was ok, everyone else was great. Don't be such a Pussy Hands about it

Wayans sucked on the New Girl Pilot. Everyone keeps saying how funny he was..but in reality all he did was scream everything...not that funny

And the pilot sucked compared to the rest of the show. It gets better every episode.

But i dont want to overrated it and ruin it for you

A) *overrate

B) You have a giant bug up your arse about that.

C) Wayans is much, much, much funnier than Replacement Wayans, who is all but a throw away character.

D) I've seen the show enough to know you can't overrate it for me. It's a decent show and has its funny moments, but it really isn't that great. Schmidt is a caricature, Nick is Ross but less whiny and more bitchy, and Jess is annoying as frick. Justin Long is the only reason to watch that show and he's only in 4 episodes. Unless the only reason you watch shows is to look at big breasted women of East Indian descent (which I can't blame you for).

Happy Endings had some cheap laughs, but it also had some pretty clever lines and quips. New Girl is very blah to me. Plus, again, Jess is annoying. Zooey Deschanel is just not that funny. Sorry to burst your bubble.

This tells me youve only seen the first season

I take it you disagree. Care to elaborate? He is hilarious in pretty much everything he's in, including New Girl.

If I hear one more fricking argument about how a show is better after the first season, I'm going to shite on you. Even if the argument comes from another person, I'm going to shite on you. I heard the same thing about Parks and Rec. I wasted 6 hours of my life watching that show, trudging through not only Season 1 (skipping some per the suggestion of this board) but most of Season 2. One episode - ONE - was as funny as people make the show out to be. I'm not saying it isn't funny, it's just not worth my time to watch. There are other things I'd rather watch and I don't have all day to watch TV. I've seen 8 or 9 episodes of New Girl. If that's a bad sample size, then I give no fricks. I guess I'm missing out on it. I think I'll stick to watching shows I enjoy more.

Neighbors? Never heard of it.

I really like Parks and Rec.

I've recently watched the first few episodes of New Girl. I think it is decent, but my wife isn't sold. She can't stand Jess' over the top quirkyness.

They tone her down a lot as the show goes on. It becomes more about the 3 guys than her.

That's what I heard, and I told her that to push her through season 1. I might just end up finishing on my own.
