GWTW. That scene of downtown Atlanta burning down was awesome.
ROTK was right up there as well.

Best theater experiences for me. I only saw the Star Wars special edition in 1997, not the original version though. It was still awesome.

Last movie I saw in theaters was Crystal Skull. It fricking sucked.
I plan to see a few movies this year in the theater--if I hear that they are good.
Jurassic Park 4 and Star Wars 7 for sure.

The Empire Strikes Back is much better on a big screen, especially the flying over the glacier scenes. The original Star Wars too, obviously.
Django Unchained is one of the few I've seen in the theater over the last few years. Being in a theater helped Django more than I would have guessed.

I loved Top Gun in the theater as a kid. The sound of those jets! I still jack up the sound of that movie on my sound bar.

Wizard of Oz / Dark Side of the Moon laser light show while on a quarter bag of shrooms.
Rocky Horror Picture Show at a midnight showing where the crowd is dressed up and acting out the movie.

I saw Gravity on the big 3D screen, they call it IMAX but it isn't really an IMAX screen. Anyway, well worth it and the best movie theater experience I have had since Jurassic Park. People who saw Gravity at home didn't feel nearly as positive about it as I and others who saw it in theaters. It was also a rare film where 3D enhanced the experience, instead of just being thrown in for a few extra $$$

I'll never forget seeing Jurassic Park in the theater as a kid. That movie was a game changer.
Also thought I Am Legend was awesome in the theaters.
War of the Worlds was good too.

Lawrence of Arabia was shown at a theater several years ago and it was the most majestic movie I have ever seen at the theater.
The Dark Knight is probably the best "new release" I have seen in theater in the last decade.
