The guest is not a straight horror film but has elements and is awesome. It's on Netflix.

Babadook isn't the best I have ever seen, but I thought it was definitely worth watching. It has a cool little bit of symbolism that I thought made it interesting.

For OP, I'm not sure what is on Netflix or Hulu currently but It Follows was the best horror movie of the last year (and probably more than that). I think it is probably on amazon video.

It Follows isn't on Netflix or Hulu. But it is the best horror film I've seen in years.

It Follows was a cool take on horror.

Babadook wasn't too great IMO. It wasn't bad but wasn't particularly good either.

If House of the Devil is on there, I'd recommend that one

I feel like it's been a while since I've seen a really good horror movie. But I've seen some pretty bad ones though.

Just thought of this one. I Saw the Devil is on Netflix. Very good. Very fricked up Korean flick. I would say it's pretty much must watch if you can put up with some gut wrenching gore.

I'd like to just drop in and say "Yes" to It Follows and a big fat fricking "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" to House of the Devil. Holy shite I've never been so bored and pissed off at a shitty payoff in a horror movie.

Disagree. It was a slow burn, and the ending wasn't amazing, but West nailed the 80's look, and Gretna Gerwig's exit was awesomely brutal, and a great juxtaposition to her goofy voice-mail greeting.
