I love teen wolf, which in itself was a remake..but have to go with An American Werewolf in London.

Maybe not the best, but Dog Soldiers is definitely my favorite.

The Wolfman is the gold standard IMO.

Beware the Werehouse

quote:

'Beware the Werehouse' is an animated short film about a man who awakes one night to discover that his house, by the light of the full moon, has transformed into a WEREHOUSE. No, we don't mean warehouse-- our spelling isn't that bad. It's like a werewolf. Or a wererabbit. Except for you know, a house. A house that turns into a warehouse. Anyway, Hilarity ensues as our character tries to escape the clutches of his own home and reunite with his true love. Did I mention that the whole thing is told in rhyming couplets? And is narrated by a grizzled old bartender?

An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Next would be The Howling and The Wolf Man (1941) - too close to call for second place.

American Werewolf in London is on Netflix right now. Watched it last night. Pretty fricking good. Effects are top notch. Pretty standard shallow plot, but that's almost a tribute to its place ad a classic. I like the use of classic tropes in classic horror movies.
