Yep. I remember driving home from college on a weeknight to watch the finale with my daddy. It is one of the best episodes of television ever and one of my favorite father/daughter memories.

Best: Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Office
Least favorite: HIMYM, but it didn't really bother me that much. I haven't seen most of these other finales people hate.
The Sopranos is a special case. I interpret it as Tony getting killed, and I like it. Anything other scenario and I hate it.
Just for the hell of it, some favorite season finales include:
Game of Thrones: Season 6 (The Winds of Winter is probably my favorite episode of television ever).
Breaking Bad: Season 4
The Wire: Season 4
Least favorite: HIMYM, but it didn't really bother me that much. I haven't seen most of these other finales people hate.

Worst : HIMYM - because we gave so much into the show and were betrayed by the finale. First off we are told early on that Ted and Robin aren't right for each other.
Ted finally meets the mother and they just kill her off.
Then ruin Barney's relationship and then Ted ends up with Robin. I mean WTF??
Roseanne was bad too - "It was all a dream, Dan really is dead? that sucked"
And For "Married with Children" being the show that launched Fox and made primetime raunchy comedy possible, it was criminal that they never got a finale.
Best - Breaking Bad. rarely does a great show end so well. It was like the perfect multi-episode series.
I think in thirty years I will be comparing shows to it,like the people who said Mash earlier.
Seinfeld's finale was a great day for me. My barber was closed so me and a friend went to an all black barber shop to get faded up. The Seinfeld finale was on and we got them to put it on. The whole shop watched the finale with us. Even though it sucked, it was a good memory.

It was so bad. Every character had a chance at redemption from being their terrible selves (except Marshall as he is really the only good person in the group) and the writers just shite on everything.

The Dexter finale sounds so bad I'm almost tempted to watch the series just to see how disappointing it is.

Liked that 70s show ending w countdown to new year's 1980 thought that was good. Didn't like friends last ep, too cliché.

One of the few fans of entourage too, loved series of I had to go one way on ending I'd say thumbs down. Same answer if you include movie as finale.
