The first half of the movie was pretty cool but it got super predictable and super lame really fricking quick in the second half.

It was a good time. Utterly predictable and near the end with his brother was just stupid, but all in all a decent flick that really does set up a pretty unique character in the land of super spy assassins. The best part of the end is that it allows them to take him anywhere and do an entirely different story. He can become a vigilante, Asperger's James Bond.

Enjoyed the first movie, don't think it really needed a sequel though.

Such contrived nonsense.

I don't understand this. I figured that was his brother from the start. You have flashbacks and are introduced to his family and his background growing up meanwhile in the current time you don't see his brother at all. It wasn't hard to piece the parts together. Saying the idea was terrible is blasphemy imo. Was a very solid movie and set itself up for most people to figure it out.

uhh, yeah, the heavyhanded narrative sure pointed the audience in that direction. i just didnt think theyd actually go through with something so poorly written. i literally joked "how lame would it be if bernthal was his brother?"

good brother vs evil brother assassin showdown? come on dude, that's a plot I would've doodled in 3rd grade. the movie took a nosedive. even people that liked it said all the contrivances were absurd. if you think that's good writing, i dont know what to tell you

probably would have liked the movie if it was less action and more of that honestly. Unique at least.

I agree. I liked a couple of short action sequences but the brother line was lame and I thought the big Taken/John Wick multiple murder shoot up ending was not necessary.

I still give it a B+ just for being kind of neat.

The movie wasn't one I would give awards to for writing but it isn't one of nominate to the razzies either. I thought it was solid.
