EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros is mobilizing a sequel to the 2016 hit The Accountant. Screenwriter Bill Dubuque, director Gavin O’Connor and Ben Affleck are in talks to return, along with the producers Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams. All those deals are being worked out right now. I’m told they will then work out the beats of the story, which likely will include Jon Bernthal, whose character asserted himself at the conclusion of the first film.

I'm not a huge fan of Shane, but frick it, I'm in. The first one was a fun flick.

I'm not either, but he was absolutely perfect in Daredevil Season 2.

The first half of the first one wasn't bad, but the 2nd half was one of the worst things I've seen. No clue what that screenwriter was thinking

I thought it was okay, but not sequel worthy.

Equalizer sets his stopwatch, Accountant says it's running three tenths of a second slow, John Wick kills 87 people while they argue about it.

Hopefully he steps up his dry erase marker game in the sequel.

I don't see where you can go with a sequel other than essentially doing the same basic story.

I did like Bernthal and saw that development from a mile away.

Easy. Someone kills his brother, The Accountant goes after the killers. Jackson Pollock girl is the only other person in his life, he has to protect her on the way.

So bad. Such contrived nonsense. I think I made a joke that the other assassin would be his brother. I didn't think it'd actually happen

They're going to turn it into a musical with Anna Kendrick as the star.

This movie needed a sequel? It's so generic. I remember liking that one scene where he is shooting the truck but that is about all I can recall.

Honestly, my favorite scene is where he is doing the actual accounting with the dry erase marker on the windows.

I probably would have liked the movie if it was less action and more of that honestly. Unique at least.

Without the accounting and the illness, he's just another super-accurate action-killer.
