Meh, its her time and money, if she wants to be a feminist/activist more power to her. I could care less.
That having been said, this is her make or break movie. Oh, I doubt she'll be reduced to giving hand jobs at the train depot if this fails, but most everything she's been in since the Harry Potter series ended has met with... not much acclaim.
Chloe Moretz churns out a couple of bad movies a year it seems like but at least everyone says, well she was really good in them. Watson, so far, has just sort of been there in her post Potter career.
Even the movie that stirred very vague interest because she might be nude in it (she wasn't) was just sort of there. The same for the Bling Ring.
Its a horrible thing, even with all her money, to find out you are essentially done with your career in your mid twenties.
She doesn't need a big time hit, though this should be one, but she most certainly needs a solid base hit. Nobody out there is talking about Rupert Grint are they?

Meh it's not like she's going full Tumblr. She's actually spoke up on actual issues affecting third world women and even said men face problems too

I said this awhile back.
There's nothing wrong with supporting feminist issues or being a feminist in itself. You go to the Middle East or Africa and there damn aren't enough people speaking up for the rights of women in those shitholes.
But for some reason, when you say feminist, all people can picture is facist dykes which isn't really the case in most circumstances.

That's my point in saying Belle herself is a feminist. She's the first one that simply wanted something greater than herself and a hunk of man meat. She also didn't want to be treated like a trophy that Gaston and the rest of the town had in mind for her. Just because you're a feminist doesn't mean you hate men.
