No, the goal of every movie released isn't to make as much money as possible. If it was every movie would be a comic book movie.

Thankfully some people still put out movies with the intention of them actually being good, which has proven over time to be a viable strategy.

but I also can't wait until I don't have to hear the emo bitching about it over about 4mins of known quantity in a 2 and 1/2 hour film.

You mean they haven't seen it yet? I'm almost certain all these posters that know it's a terrible film have seen it, I mean they have to have right?

It's not the goal of every movie made. You think Selma was made with the intention of making as much money as Star Wars? Come on man, you guys aren't this stupid.

Oh, okay then. Perhaps you should tell the movie studios that after spending $20 million on Jennifer Lawrence to lead their arthouse Oscar-bait films.

You obviously ARE stupid. People who make movies make them for one reason, money. I do what I do for one reason, money. Get a clue dude.

It was made to:

1) Win Oscars

2) Make money

Oscar gold means more money for the movie and for the studio.

I guess Frank Miller was just a shitty writer when he wrote the Dark Knight Returns.

Explain to me, if you put Batman and Superman on equal footing in a fair fight, how Batman would last over 5 seconds?

Superman can shoot lasers out of his eyes while lifting a bus.

Easy answer, Batman knows that Superman won't finish him, while Batman is more grey and would kill if need be.

It's no secret I've been very outspoken in my criticism of this movie, but this:

Is so goddamn idiotic. The movie is not about a fist fight between batman and Superman

Right, that's why they are fighting in the trailers and the movie is called Batman Vs Superman.

I'm not sure whether you're really good or really bad at this whole trolling thing.

I'm kinda liking Superman from some of what they've shown. That one recent tv spot (full version) where he basically tells Batman to sit the frick down was badass.
