The Flash also gets his speed from the Speed Force. Abuse it and he risks getting absorbed into it. So it does put a restriction on him.

No. That's not how sound works. It's not faster than the speed of sound.

comic book
Growing up, I was always a DC guy. I don't know or remember why I didn't do much Marvel, except maybe the places I bought comics didn't feature Marvel as much. Anyway, all I remember from Marvel mostly was Fantastic Four and Spiderman. My loss.

In today time, I have come to really appreciate the Marvel heroes big time and wish I had really gotten into them as well.

Back then, DC seemed so "clean" and Marvel seemed so "dark and gritty." Exactly why I now wish I'd done more Marvel too.

That being said, of the DC comic heroes, Batman was mostly on my second team of likes - even back then. Him, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman. I bought and read those comics too, but compared with Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Atom, Hawkman, JLA, Aquaman - the whole second team just seemed eccentric, dated and a little bit over-rated. I did like when Detective Comics included the Martian Manhunter. And I do think Joker was one of the best villains in the DC universe.

But I think CA would win, one on one. Yes, Batman would have all those wonderful toys... but that wouldn't be enough.

Batman vs Captain America - Who wins?
In a first meeting with no prep. . .Cap wins in a 1st round KO. Just too fast, agile, and strong.

With prep work on both sides. . .draw, or maybe a late round decision where someone scores a moral victory

Batman vs Daredevil or Punisher or Hawkeye. These would be better fights.

Vs Superman- he's faster in some versions, but not in all, and not necessarily by a lot. And Supes has flight, heat vision, FAR greater durability and the lack of concern with breathing to factor in. And don't forget the super-heightened senses, he can detect things around the globe if he wants to, so he can hear the Flash coming. So depending on how much difference in speed there is, Superman can likely tank out and eventually land a hit. Remember, "kryptonite" is necessary to keep him from being totally invincible at every level

Superman should never be nearly as fast as Flash but I realize writers have sometimes made him so. They even had a race way back in the day. Flash with a shard of krytonite should be able to beat Supes unless Supes can manage to fly out of harms way. It'd be an interesting fight bc it might be hard for them to even hit each other. Superman will never wear down so I guess eventually he could win if he stays in the air and shoots lasers long enough.

Flash with a ginsu should be able to slice Hulk up. Would take a while but it should eventually work.

Flash is the most underrated character in terms of power. In the show, it's clear the writers hold him back when needed bc otherwise he'd easily annihilate everyone except other speedsters. Just think if Flash ever simply used a baseball bat. He could smash a hundred skulls in a second.

It wasn't a case of "some writers". They were speed equals for about forty years and had multiple races. Up until the time they began to piss on Superman.

That just shouldn't be the case though. Flash needs to be the speed guy. Superman should be a notch below. Just doesn't seem right to have Flash not be the fastest.

Naaaa, people know exactly how powerful he can be, that's exactly why they DON'T write him that way. Once DC went all "Speed Force = Life" they opened up a door they couldn't close.

Flash is a massive cheat code, even moreso than Superman.

Oddly enough, while they were making Flash into a god, they were in the process of de-powering and humanizing Superman.

Well that's completely your loss then as Justice League wouldn't have had as many amazing stories as they did without Batman.

Superman wouldn't have had a great friendship with Batman to ground him in reality and give him more human point of views if you had your way

It's not my loss. I enjoy Justice League. I just think that the Batman universe makes more sense separate and apart from a universe filled with near gods.

Batman vs. Punisher would not be a good fight because the Punisher does not use restraint like other people in comics. In alternate universes (there is multiple), the Punisher kills every hero and villain in Marvel.

Punisher is the only hero with any sense. Still, he's got no powers and should never be a match for super powered opponents. Although his guns do even things up I suppose.

I'm pretty sure Batman is a pedophile and Captain America hates pedophiles. The captain would have no problems removing the pedophile Batman from among the living.
