I do seem to remember heat vision shredding the Kryptonians armor. And Zod pretty much ripped his apart.
So there.
I think it's going to be an environment thing. And think Bats gets Supes to meet him in a place where he has mimicked the Kryptonian atmosphere, and it weakens him.

Batman is too smart to fight superman at full strength. He won't approach the fight without holding an advantage.

But he has before. Ultimately, yes, the fight will turn to Superman not being 100%. I just want to see an all out fight between them with nothing held back, at least for a portion of it.

Like, lets use an example that's not The Dark Knight Returns. In The New 52, Batman wears this suit and it's able to withstand blows from Superman. This is the kind of thing I personally want to see. I guess nobody really knows at this point.

I don't know that I like those very much. If there is a new trailer, it will come out sometime soon after tomorrow. A 15 minute event is suppose to be shown in IMAX tomorrow.

I just don't see the fight going down, as we would like. The BvS will be more of a philosophy, war of words, ideology type confrontation. There maybe a brief brawl, and that's it.
Look again at the scene from the trailer where Bats is looking up at Supes. He already has some major scratches and damage to THAT Suit. I think the fight is pretty much ending, and they are agreeing to work together at that point

There are already people reporting that the suit is made out of alien material. I guess we'll see.

We're are assuming that 1. The only way they "fight" is in the physical manner and that 2. that any direct physical encounter is going to have any real length to it.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this movie will be roughly 150 minutes long. The encounter we saw in that trailer will mostly likely be before the 90 minute mark, definitely before the 100 minute mark.

I think the fight is going to be very physical as well as political. I think people who think otherwise are not familiar with some of the internal battles that have been fought in the JL. Batman has competed with all of them physically. There's no way that Snyder is saying that the battle will be reminiscent of The Dark Knight Returns, and then give us a wimpy fight.

There have been rumors that say the fight is above expectation. Gail Simone(comic writer and original screenwriter for Wonder Woman animated movie) has had a few tweets deleted that said "someone she trusts had seen the film's first cut" and Wonder Woman is a highlight by many accounts of those who had viewed. This whole production is gaining in my estimation as every little tidbit is leaked out. Going have to stop paying attention for a while so I can enjoy the film when it is released, but I expected another trailer tomorrow. I think they let the first one leak on purpose and had this trailer done for comic con last year. I think we'll see a little more footage tomorrow. Dammit.
