Why does it feel like there's very little build-up for this movie? You'd think a movie featuring Batman & Superman would have marketing everywhere.

I can't drive to downtown Dallas or walk around downtown without seeing signs. It seems there is a new interview or commercial every day.

Just a heads up to those wanting to avoid spoilers. There will be a large premiere this week and the review embargo lifts on 3/21.

You must not get out much.

Not to mention the countless trailers and promo videos that have come out.

I listened to a group of men talk about how they couldn't wait to go see it.

They all had to be in their 70s.

I think they're doing decent marketing.

The trailers already spoiled it.

There was one really bad trailer, IMO. The rest have been fine. One of them was great. The product promos may have been a little much (Turkish Airlines, Jeep). I personally liked the Turkish Airlines spots. I think they've done really well with the promo art and posters. All in all, I think they did pretty good. That one bad trailer is still what resonates with a lot of people, though.

If it was all that, they would have targeted that summer blockbuster release. They were scared of Civil War.

This will be a flop big time.
We may not get a Justice League.

even if they thought it was the greatest movie ever made, it'd be stupid to go up against Civil War if you don't have to.

And now they have the end of March and all of April to themselves. Their biggest competition will be Jungle Book in mid-April. Avengers will have to share May with X-Men. Since nothing else of consequence showed up on the March/April schedule, they ended up making a great decision.

Nope.

You're a couple of months behind on your internet buzz.

I may be alone in this, but I liked the Doomsday trailer. He was heavily rumored to be in it, better they confirm it than let it leak IMO. And we knew they'd team up. Not many villains worth teaming up for that also wouldn't be saved for Justice League.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if BvS beat CW at the box office. It may not, but if it did I wouldn't be surprised.

Why is this even brought up? Of course they didn't want to go against Marvel. When you're trying to establish your own universe, you don't go against an already established and massively successful one. That's just bad business. We should applaud them for making that move.

I just spent a week in Chicago and the most I saw was a sign at a bus stop. There's more in my home city at the BooksAMillion

Pre ticket sales say the hype and build up have been successful. The only thing left is to see if the movie is good or not.

ETA: Plus, I think some of the filming was in Chicago. They just got a heavy dose of exposure there not too long ago.

Uh... It's Superman v. Batman. It ain't gonna be a flop. It may not be the most critically acclaimed movie ever, but it definitely won't be a flop.

We'll get a Justice League or 2.
