This series, and especially Hamills goat performance, made Joker not just the greatest villian of all time, but one of the greatest characters ever. The show ended up being as much about Joker as it was Batman over time.

Incredible series. I watched it as a child, and I look forward to rewatching it.

Cowboy Bebop is the best animated series, IMO, but I have Batman in a close second.

Hammill's Joker is my basis for the character.

Greatest Animated Series ever. No question.

No doubt. Has it made its way to Netflix yet?

DC should take a lesson from Marvel and make a Netflix series ala Daredevil.

I'd prefer that they'd make a Batman series that kids and adults can both watch.

If you ask someone who the best Batman is and they say Kevin Conroy, then you know you've found a good egg.

I would love a dark Batman series along the lines of Daredevil more suited for adults, I think it would really take off if done right...

Pretty dark for a Saturday morning cartoon.

Definitely wasn't afraid of mature subject matter... Never talked down to the viewer.

I have the first three volumes and I'm off work on a sick day so I might have to do some power watching of this.

The series went downhill after they introduced Robin. The studio execs wanted Robin in the series, they felt that kids would relate better to him, and they would refuse any story that did not include Robin.

I disagree. I thought it was still great even with Robin

Robin was in less than half the episodes and debuted in the first season (episode 19)... so I'm not sure I follow you on this. The series went downhill after episode 18?
