Since the start of this series; I wanted it to end with Norman behind the desk at the motel eating watermelon. Guess that's not going to happen. Oh well. I am still thrilled with the way this season is playing out.
I don't know, maybe "Norma" can pin it all on Romero???? Grasping at straws, I know...

Is there anyway this show DOESN'T end with Norman staring in to the camera with that creepy half smile at this point?

I really don't want that - it's such an iconic image I don't want them to try and replicate it.
FYI Ted Baxter from The Mary Tyler Moore Show was Norman's jailer in the movie. I noticed that when I re-watched the movie a few weeks ago.
Anybody ever read the novel off which the movie was based???

It's possible. Romero kills Norman then himself. Emma leaves him and takes the baby. Suddenly everyone in Dylan's life is taken away from him and the only place he has to go is the motel. We know craziness runs all through that family so maybe Dylan goes a little mad in that house all by himself

I read Psycho, Psycho II, and Psycho House.

one of the most under talked about shows. Highmore was fabulous throughout. I'm already planning a rewatch this summer.
