Bates Motel Season 5 Thread

I don't know how they will top the last two episodes of season 4 but I can't wait to find out
Rihanna joins the cast as Marion Crane. Apparently she's a huge fan of the show.

Honest question.
I liked Season 1 and Vera Farmiga but felt toward the end it was meandering into soap opera.
And about to get crazy soap opera.
There have been a lot of shows like that...start off strong and just get ridiculous and catty...and nothing more than polished daytime junk. Sons of Anarchy got like that after season 2.
So does Bates Motel become convoluted crazy Soap Opera...ala Sons of Anarchy or Lost?

I don't think it's ventured into soap opera territory. The performances by Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore make the show worth watching.

Okay.
And Lost wasn't daytime junk...until maybe after season 4.
But it's not the daytime thing...it just becomes ridiculous, and tedious with introducing more characters...and not as bad as Daytime but...
I really like Season 1...I'll give Season 2 a go because I hope to finish it.
I hated that I invested 3 seasons of Sons of Anarchy...and then every week, everything that was set-up the week before is flipped on its head. Why am I watching the week before for storylines that can be erased so easily?
Now that's daytime Soap Opera.
(And also that a motorcycle gang went to Ireland and almost set off an international war.)
