Haven't seen these and I was in the mood to start/binge a war series.

How would the MB rank these 3 in order of best to least?

I've never seen Generation Kill but I preferred Band of Brothers over The Pacific.

1.Band of Brothers
2.Generation Kill

3. The Pacific - massive letdown compared to Band of Brothers. Just sucked in general.

Band of Brothers - GOAT
Generation Kill - Very good and realistic.
The Pacific - Good, but not in the same class as the other 2.

If you haven't watched BoB - that's an easy call. BoB and From the Earth to the Moon are about as good as it gets for that kind of product (meaning regardless of subject matter - FTETTM is primarily about the U.S. Space Program in the 1960s and 1970s, focusing on the Gemini and Apollo programs, specifically).

Band of Brothers...one of the most excellent things I have ever seen...beginning to end.

"The only hope you have is to accept the fact that you're already dead. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be able to function as a soldier is supposed to function: without mercy, without compassion, without remorse. All war depends upon it."

2nd Lt. Rice: "Looks like you guys are going to be surrounded."
Richard Winters: "We're paratroopers, Lieutenant. We're supposed to be surrounded."

ETA...Just looked it up...there are still 16 from Easy Company alive today.

BoB might be the best series ever put on TV. It is that good.

Band of Brothers is the best 10 hour run in television history. It's perfect. I'd rank it as the GOAT show.

The Pacific is good but far, far from great. It has its moments but it also has 2-3 episodes you can totally skip.

Haven't seen Generation Kill yet but I plan on watching it soon. Bought it at Walmart a while back for like $13.

The Pacific was good but if you compare to BoB its truly a apples and oranges comparison.

The Pacific was more about individual experiences during the war rather than a viewpoint of action seen by a company during the war.

All 3 are good I recently binge watched Generation Kill followed by BoB then The Pacific but I put BoB at the top of the hill.

BoB
Gen Kill
Pacific

Let me clarify that in overall quality, Pacific is far superior than Generation Kill. But the Pacific is tough to watch. Its not bad tough, its just very dark, very humanizing. Band of Brothers is fantastic, and the War in Europe was very different than the War in the Pacific. The Pacific does a fantastic job at visualizing this.

Generation Kill bored me.

The Pacific was good but not great.

Band of Brothers is a masterpiece.

In order of best to worst, it's Band of Brothers, Generation Kill and then The Pacific.

But you should probably watch Generation Kill first, then watch Band of Brothers then The Pacific.

I didn't really care for Generation Kill. I'd put a slight lean to The Pacific. And for the books, I really enjoyed the source material for The Pacific more than Band of Brothers. (warning: absolutely DO NOT read The Pacific companion guide that Ambrose's son wrote. It's terrible.)

I got bored sunday and started the pacific again. Hadn't seen an episode since the first run.

One episode will be great and then the next is a let down.
