One of my great regrets is not visiting more with a neighbor I had growing up who was at the Battle of the Bulge. I did not do so it until he was very old and found that he fought and was injured there. Very cool old fellow. Nothing ever seemed to faze him I understand why now.

Daddy was in the 508 PIR (BoB is 506) but refused to talk about the war. He passed in 2006. BoB was my link as to what he might have gone through. I love this series, and the books
